This Ancient Greek course offers structured, academically guided instruction in classical grammar, syntax, and textual analysis. Students develop the ability to read and interpret authentic Ancient Greek texts, including philosophical works, Greek tragedy, mythology, and classical prose. The course combines linguistic precision with historical and cultural context, providing a deeper understanding of the intellectual foundations of Western thought. Lessons are suitable for: • Beginners starting from the alphabet • University students in Classics or Philosophy • Theology students • Lifelong learners with academic interest • Advanced students seeking text-based study Each session includes: • Systematic grammar instruction • Guided translation practice • Textual analysis • Vocabulary development • Structured progression In this course, Ancient Greek texts are read and analysed using Modern Greek pronunciation. This approach facilitates consistency, accessibility, and continuity for students who may also be studying Modern or Koine Greek, while maintaining full grammatical and philological accuracy in the analysis of the classical language. This is not a casual language class — it is serious, academically grounded training in Ancient Greek. All classes are conducted live via Zoom, allowing students worldwide to participate in a focused and interactive academic environment. Payment is processed securely via Wise (international bank transfer).
